Top 10 Tips for Cardinals Members

  1. If you are on the programme, please arrive at 7.00 for 7.30pm and let the Toastmaster know that you have arrived.
  2. If you do not have either a role or a speech slot, please arrive at 7.15 for 7.30pm
  3. If you wish to give a Table Topics, find out and request a slot from the Table Topics Master – Do NOT wait to be asked!
  4. When in front of the group, the recommended greeting is “Mr/Madam Toastmaster, fellow Toastmasters and most welcome guests”
  5. Speak within the time available – aim not to go beyond the RED light!
  6. If not already completed, always bring along your Competent Leader Manual and be evaluated.
  7. Enjoy yourself and support speakers, so they can enjoy themselves.
  8. Look outward and look for ways you can support your Club, your President, Guests and fellow members – a great way to develop your Leadership skills!
  9. Continually learn when you are in front of the group, in the audience and at the bar afterwards!
  10. Remember to read the invaluable Toastmasters Promise.
