A proven way to improve your Confidence and Communication Skills
Become a better speaker, listener and leader and gain confidence to succeed in whatever path you’ve chosen in life. London Cardinals holds regular meetings on the first and third Monday of every month at The Grange Wellington Hotel, 71 Vincent Square, Westminster, London SW1P 2PA.
What to expect
Our meetings start promptly at 7:15. The first half is dedicated to Table Topics. This is an opportunity for members who aren't on the programme to develop their impromptu speaking skills. Each topic is evaluated before a brief intermission. In the second half members deliver prepared speeches. The whole evening is a mix of learning, fun and feedback.
All guests are very welcome.
History of Toastmasters
Ralph C Smedley’s early work with Toastmasters is a testimony to his insight and tenacity. While working for the YMCA, he discovered that many young men were tongue-tied and awkward in their presentations. In 1924, to help them improve, he created a club where they could practice public speaking in an atmosphere of acceptance and assistance. There are now over 11,500 Toastmaster clubs worldwide.
From the start of 2017, we use Easyspeak for all speech and role bookings, so let's practice!
